On April 3, 2026, the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) issued Invalidation Decision No. 6305614, ruling to maintain the validity of the utility model patent for "Electric Toothbrush Head and Electric Toothbrush" owned by Guangzhou Starjoy Technology Co., Ltd.

Following the client's retainer, the Hengbo Team conducted extensive and meticulous preparation, including successfully identifying flaws in the opposing party's evidence and errors in their technical understanding. Ultimately, the CNIPA decided to uphold the validity of the patent right.

The decision held that if a claim contains distinguishing features relative to the closest prior art, and such distinguishing features are neither disclosed in any other prior art evidence nor proven to be common general knowledge in the relevant field, the claim shall possess inventiveness.

According to the laws, that patentee may complain to the Beijing Intellectual Property Court within 3 months in case not satisfied with the Examination Decision.
