On March 25, 2025, the China National Intellectual Property Administration issued an Invalidation Decision No. 584774, declaring that all patent rights owned by Shenzhen Voxtech Co., Ltd., entitled “ Bone Conduction Speakers and Bone Conduction Headphones ”, were invalid.

After accepting the client's commission, the Hengbo team made sufficient and detailed preparations and ultimately successfully invalidated the patent.

The decision held that: if the distinguishing feature of a claim relative to the closest prior art is a customary technical means in the field, and it is obvious for a person skilled in the art to derive the technical solution of the claim based on the technical inspiration given by the prior art, then the claim does not have substantial features and progress relative to the prior art, and does not possess the inventiveness required by Article 22 (3) of the Patent Law.

According to the law, if the patent owner is dissatisfied with the invalidation decision, he or she may file an administrative lawsuit with the Beijing Intellectual Property Court within three months.
