On February 28, 2022, the China National Intellectual Property Administration issued No. 54305 invalidation decision, declaring that all patent rights of “Optical sensor system and image recognition equipment and electronic equipment incorporating the system” owned by Ona Light Wave Touch (Shenzhen) Co., LTD were invalid.

After accepting the client's entrustment, HengBo has done a lot of retrieval, finding that there were prior arts in patent literature that were similar to the technology involved in this case, then HengBo filled a request for invalidation of the accused patent based on that. After almost six months of trial, the CNIPA finally decided that the all patent rights of the accused patent were invalid.

According to the law, if the patentee is dissatisfied with the invalidation decision, he or she can file an administrative lawsuit request with the Beijing Intellectual Property Court within three months.
