On January 7, 2025, the State Intellectual Property Office issued Invalidation Decision No. 583652, declaring that all patent rights owned by TRANE INTERNATIONAL INC. named " Blower Housing " were invalid.

After accepting the client's commission, the Hengbo team made sufficient and detailed preparations and ultimately successfully invalidated the patent.

The decision holds that: if a claim has a technical feature that distinguishes it from the prior art, but the technical feature is a conventional technical choice adopted by technical personnel in the relevant field, and the effect that can be achieved after such choice is clearly predictable, then the technical solution requested by the claim does not meet the essential requirements for obtaining inventiveness.

According to the law, if the patent owner is dissatisfied with the invalidation decision, he or she may file an administrative lawsuit with the Beijing Intellectual Property Court within three months.
