On August 2, 2023, the China National Intellectual Property Administration issued Invalidation Decision No. 563383, announcing that the patent rights of owned by Taifang Tech and entitled "Touch Device" were partially invalided.

The decision considers that : if there is a distinguishing technical feature between the technical solution protected by a claim and the closest prior art, but the distinguishing technical feature is disclosed by other prior art and provides corresponding technical inspiration, or belongs to the technical field common knowledge, the claim does not involve an inventive step.

According to the law, if the patentee refuses to accept the invalidation decision, he can file an administrative lawsuit with the Beijing Intellectual Property Court within three months.
